Overview
Maggie Beirne, BA (Oxon) in PPE and MSSc (Irish Political Studies) from Queens University Belfast, has worked extensively on human rights. At Amnesty International’s International Secretariat in London, Maggie worked for 17 years on research, membership and campaigning, and also served in the senior management team.
After a career break, and several short term human rights consultancies, Maggie worked for nearly as long as a volunteer, employee, and eventually Director of the Committee on the Administration of Justice, a human rights NGO based in Northern Ireland. She remains actively involved in international and domestic human rights work on a voluntary basis
